“When you're interested in somebody and you think they might be interested in you, you should point out all your beauty problems and defects right away rather than take a chance they won't notice them. Maybe, say, you have a permanent beauty problem you can't change such as too-short legs. Just say it.“ My legs as you've probably noticed are much to short in proportion to the rest of my body". Why give the other person the satisfaction of discoverig it for themselves?".

"It's not the exciting place it used to be. It still has great energy; I still put my finger in the socket. But it doesn't feel alive, cracking with that synergy between the art world and music world and fashion world that was happening in the 80s. A lot of people died."

«L.A. is so different from any other place in the world. You never see anyone buying anything
«The world of the Abstract Expressionists was very macho. The painters who used to hang around the Cedar bar on University Place were all hard-driving, two fisted types who'd grab each other and say things like" I'll knock your fucking teeth out» and «I'll steal your girl».
«If a person isn't generally considered beautiful, they can still be a success if they have a few jokes in their pockets. And a lot of pockets».
So I was shot at my place of business: Andy Warhol Enterprises. At that point, in 1968, Andy Warhol Enterprises consisted of a few people who worked for me on a fairly regular basis, a lot of what you might call free-lancers who worked on specific projects, and a lot of "superstars" or "hyperstars" or whatever you can call all the people who are very talented, but whose talents are hard to define and almost impossible to market. That was the "staff" of Andy Warhol Enterprises in those days. An interviewer asked me a lot of questions about how I ran my office and I tried to explain to him that I don't really run it, it runs me. I used a lot of phrases like "bring home the bacon" so he didn't really understand what I was talking about.
«Somebody stopped me on Park Avenue and said; «You're that person on that commercial» and I said yes and gave him an INTERVIEW and then he said «Maybe you could help me?» and I said what it was because I was in sort of a rush, and he said that he wrote scripts and would I look at them and then he said «And what's your name?»
«I like to make people happy. That's what's great about show business. It's escapism. You pay your five bucks to get in and sit there and you're in another world. Forget about the problems of the world. It's wonderful. It's entertaining. It's magic»
«At the same time, there's more media every day: cable TV, satelllite TV , new magazine starting up every minute. And with more media, they need more celebrity and more news to have something to talk about».

Impatient to get to "the centre of everything", in 1978 Madonna dropped out halfway through her course and went to New York. She scraped a living as a dancer and an artists' model before playing drums in a ska/pop band The Breakfast Club. By 1980 she had branched out to form her own act with boyfriend Steve Bray (later a producer on albums like True Blue and Like A Prayer). Despite this bold move, Madonna was floundering. She was living on her wits, relying on favours from friends and had no fixed address. After she became famous, Andy Warhol wrote in his diary: " Keith (Haring) said that when Madonna was sleeping on his couch, the stories he could write about people she had sex with..." And Bray remarked that being Madonna's boyfriend was a difficult job: "Some people are very upfront and some are like, 'You'll find out eventually you're not my boyfriend and that I'm seeing 12 other people.' That was more her approach. I learned not to count on her in that department."
Three quarter of new convert to Islam in the West are women. Nobody still understand why? As long as the West will keep offering only boring so-called «sex provocation» in term of pop culture, this trend will only increase.
Arnold Schwarzenegger is straight as a die. Why then he consented to this Blueboy interview? «Gays are like bodybuilders. Everyone stereotypes them and makes all kinds of assumptions about them. For a lot of years I've been categorized. I have suffered from being stereotyped so I feel for what it must be like to be gay. People meet me and they have already made up their minds about me because I'm a bodybuilder. It has hurt me». Arnold pauses and continues, «I respect gay men, communicate with them, associate with them»
