«IT'S CALLED GOSSIP AND OF COURSE IT'S AN OBSESSION OF MINE»
Keith Haring's artwork is among the most recognizable of the 20th century -- but the authenticity of roughly 80 paintings has been called into question ... and now, a group of art dealers is suing for $40 MILLION, claiming it's being falsely accused of peddling fakes.
The Miami-based dealers are suing the Keith Haring Foundation after it accused them of selling bogus Harings at an exhibit in March last year called "Haring Miami."

POLITICS À LA BIANCA JAGGER

Got to Fire Island and had lunch at an outdoor spot. We decided to call Calvin's and he said to come right over. And Calvin's house is right off Ocean Walk and there's 8000 boys around it, and a lot of girls too, and they 're all walking around wanting to be discovered for a jeans ad

ANDY WARHOL AND STEVE JOBS
Warhol took Sean's spot in front of the computer, and Jobs showed him how to maneuver the mouse. Warhol didn't get it; he lifted and waved the mouse as if it were a conductor's baton. Jobs gently explained that th mouse worked when it was pushed along a surface. Warhol kept lifting it until Jobs placed his hand on Warhol's and guided it along the floor. Finally Warhol began drawing, staring at the «pencil» as it drew on the screen

«I JUST READ EVERYTHING»
"With amazing candor and clarity, Eminem has shown the full spectrum of male emotions on his albums, from a cooing tenderness toward children to ranting arias of betrayal and revenge. We see in him the agonizing ambivalence that is one of the principal engines of obsessive art-making from Michelangelo to Picasso."

«GOOD BUSINESS IS THE BEST ART»
An Andy Warhol canvas of the Chinese communist leader Mao Zedong sold for £7.6 million tonight - more than 18 times the price paid last time it went to auction. It was last sold at auction in June 2000 for £421,500. Warhol's Mao series was a response to US president Richard Nixon's visit to China in 1972.

«GOOD BUSINESS IS THE BEST ART»
Kour Pour, a 26-year-old Los Angeles painter, is such a hot prospect in the art world that his first solo exhibition sold out even before the show opened last month in New York. Buyers snapped up all seven of Pour’s 8-foot-tall canvases, which depict Persian rugs and were priced at $15,000, according to Joel Mesler, co-owner of the Untitled Gallery, where the show runs through Feb. 23. Mesler says he received unsolicited offers from buyers willing to pay significantly more. “There’s a tremendous amount of speculation in the market right now, particularly for emerging artists,” says Todd Levin, director of the New York-based Levin Art Group, who has advised collectors for more than 25 years. “It is more ferocious than it’s ever been.”

THE SOLUTION TO THE PROSTITUTION PROBLEM
«I think the girl who's standing on the street corner should pay the guy who comes up to her, because she's hot, right? The guy's not hot, she's hot, right? She's the prostitute, but she's hot and she should pay the person that wants it. She should be on easy street and pay the person for doing it to her, don't you think. I think it should be that way. She should just have a lot of money from the city to to pay him.»

DRAWING
«Andy had always liked drawing; that was why he went to art school. It was his line that was special. He was very aware that what he had was a talent. Above all, he like making art hat was profitable. He wasn't removed from his art in the nihilistic way that is often ascribed to him.

PHILOSOPHY FOR THE 21st CENTURY: SEX
HOW GREAT ARTISTS THINK
«Everything is beautitful» -Andy Warhol
«Everyone, I loved passionately. And I even think I would like a door knob, a chamber pot. whatever» -Pablo Picasso.
