After wednesday June 13 1973, there was a place for us to go all night every night: Le jardin opened with a special performance by Candy Darling at midnight singing «Give Me a Man» to an audience that included light -weight boxing champion Chu Chu Malave with fashion illustrator Antonio Lopez, The Happy Hooker Xaviera Hollander with a fleet of happy hustlers, and actor Sal Mineo with a large all-male entourage plus actress Jill Haworth, who he was supposedly marrying.
