CAMILLE PALIA ON GAY MEN & MARRIAGE

«My experience is that gay men's idea of marriage or any kind of relationship
is rather open. That's why a lot of people are a little skeptical. Gay men-
they're together for 30 years, what does that mean? That means they go out
and pick up strangers every two weeks. That's a very sophisticated view of marriage.
Lesbians are much less sophisticated. Lesbians nest in one big cinnamon bun where
they fuse and it's all very sweet and nice. I like the idea of marriage but i'm not sure
that gay relationship have been tested over time. If we can't convince each other of it,
I don't know how we're going to convince the greater world»
