The top-selling lot at the Post-War & Contemporary Art Evening Sale in London on 30 June was Silver Liz by Andy Warhol, an icon of Pop Art and one of only 2 paintings to depict the celebrated actress with her legendary violet eyes. Unseen in public for over 20 years, the work was executed in 1963, the year that she became the first $1 million actress in Hollywood. It sold to an anonymous bidder for £6,762,150. (RT: 1:45)
