-Spirits are soaring after Barack Obama's victory in the U.S. presidential election. So is business. Entrepreneurs worldwide have been trying to cash in on the enormous popularity of the first African-American president the U.S. has elected. Small enterprises have seen a unique opportunity to capitalize. On Wednesday, just hours after the results were known, a signed, dated and numbered political poster by the artist Shepard Fairey depicting Obama above the word “Progress” sold for twice its presale expectation, bringing $4,800 during the $1.2-million sale of fine art prints, which included the likes of Andy Warhol and Francis Bacon, by auctioneer Bonhams & Butterfields.
