JEALOUSY: THE TABOO SUBJECT OF ECONOMIC DRIVE
Andy Warhol was famously jealous. And not only of the fact that Wilhem De Koonick or Chagall were still painting later in their lives. It was no doubt a big part of his drive to always reach for bigger celebrity , bigger success, more money, etc. Similiarly the very same drive for revenge or getting even explain much of the current economic and social situation. And the most fierce competition is to be found among members of the same ethnic group. The drive to be the best on the basketball court is about talented black players competing with each other à la Shaq dissing Kobe Bryant. The economy of Las Vegas is in good part the result of the competition between two jewish casino magnates. Steve Wynn and Sheldon Aldelson. Similarly the competition for the more expensive painting on the art market is a competition between jewish guys. From David Geffen to the financier Steven Cohen to the Lauder brothers or Roman Abramovich. And what about that famous past competition between 50 cents and Kayne West? Beef is nothing new. But it is still clearly the biggest taboo of P.C economical analysis...
