“Since all of us came from somewhere else -even the Indians came over from Asia a long time ago-I don't see where anybody can draw the line at being more american even though they always keep trying with ideas like “ I must be more american than she is because my family came over on the Mayflower” or “I'm more American because I'm blonde and blue-eyed and live in the Midwest or “ We're more American than they are because we can speak English”.
