He was a great democratic influence. Once we were walking down the strret when a black limousine pulled up and a dark window rolled down and there was Diana Ross, screaming out «Andy, Andy, come say hello». Andy didn't hide in a stretch limo: he was out there for everyone, whether it was Diana Ross or a tourist from Ohio. Andy travelled by taxi; he was the star in the streets.
