When art critics and historians review our moment in history they’ll see major political changes (black president); huge advances in medical procedures and technology (laser-eye surgery, successful face transplants, internet, satellite radio); but who will represent the artists? Quick, without the help of google, name a Picasso of today... Maybe everyone out there can name Thomas Kinkade as a popular artist…but, really? Is that all we’ve got? Maybe you’re deeper into the scene and know you’re stuff, but I challenge you to go out and ask ten people the same question and you’ll see what I mean. We certainly have a lot of talent out there…but is it anything new?
