Dolly Parton has revealed that her extensive cosmetic surgery is a gift to her fans and her way of showing them her appreciation of their loyalty. Speaking to New York magazine, the 63-year old country and western singer explained that she owed it to her hordes of followers to remain "looking like Dolly". She denied that her breast surgery and various other plastic surgery procedures were the result of vanity. Parton elaborated: "I look at it like it is - if you've got the money and you're going to be out there, you owe it to people not to look like a dog if you can help it." Her desire to stand out in a crowd and be at the centre of events is another reason for her decision to go under the knife, she continued.
